'Damages'

There are all sorts of reasons to tune in to this twisty legal thriller. The writing is first-rate and the acting is excellent (no one is better than Glenn Close at icy/powerful/crazy, and who could forget Ted Danson as a corrupt CEO). Season three shows signs of continuing this trend with a case involving an investment fraud and introducing Campbell Scott, Lily Tomlin and Martin Short (!). Is it 10 p.m. yet?
